Generic Viagra

Generic Viagra is a tablet used to treat erectile dysfunction and impotence. It can help men who have erectile dysfunction achieve and sustain an erection during intercourse.

How Generic Viagra works
Predominantly, generic Sildenafil Citrate enables men with ED to respond to sexual stimulation. During sexual arousal, the arteries in the penis relax and widen, allowing more blood to flow into the penis. As the arteries in the penis expand and harden, the veins that normally carry blood away from the penis become compressed, restricting the blood flow from the penis. As a result of the in and out blood flow, the penis is enlarged permitting in an erection. (Generic Viagra works in conjunction with sexual stimulation, only.) Generic Viagra prescribed For most patients, Generic Viagra is taken as needed 1 hour before sexual intercourse. The recommended dose is 50 mg. However, it may be taken anywhere from .5- 4 hours before sexual activity. Based on effectiveness and toleration, the dose may be increased to a maximum recommended dose of 100 mg or decreased to 25 mg. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once per day. If Generic Viagra is taken after a high-fat meal, the medicine may take a little longer to start working. Generic Viagra can help you get an erection when you are sexually excited. (Erections are not automated by taking the pill alone -- without sexual arousal.)

Generic Viagra DOES NOT:

• Cure erectile dysfunction.
• Protect you or your partner from getting sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV-the virus that causes AIDS.
• A hormone or an aphrodisiac.

Side Effects
Just like the Viagra brand, Generic Viagra can cause certain side effects. Usually mild to moderate, the symptoms do not last for more than a few hours. (Side effects are more likely to occur with higher doses.) The most common side effects of generic Viagra are headaches, flushing of the face and upset stomach. Less common side effects that may occur are temporary changes in color vision, eyes being more sensitive to light or blurred vision. In rare instances, men have reported an erection that lasts many hours. If an erection persists more than 4 hours, physician should be notified, immediately. If not treated right away, permanent damage to your penis could occur. Heart attack, stroke, irregular heartbeats and death are rarely associated in men taking Sildenafil citrate. Most, but not all, of these men had heart problems before taking this medicine. It is not possible to determine whether these events were directly related to generic Viagra.

Physician Checklist Before beginning Generic Sildenafil Citrate
Only your doctor can decide if Generic Viagra is right for you. Generic Viagra can cause mild, temporary lowering of your blood pressure. You will need to have a thorough medical exam to diagnose your erectile dysfunction and to find out if you can safely take Generic Viagra alone or with your other medicines. Your physician should determine if your heart is healthy enough to handle the endurance of having sex. Be sure to tell your doctor if you have had:

• Any heart problems (e.g., angina, chest pain, heart failure, irregular heart beats, or heart attack), have ever had a stroke.
• Low or high blood pressure # A rare inherited eye disease called retinitis pigmentosa.

• A deformed penis, Peyronie's disease, or ever had an erection that lasted more than 4 hours.
• Stomach ulcers or any types of bleeding problems or, if you are taking any other medicines.
